Dodge
The Dodge skill is a defensive skill that increases your chance to avoid incoming physical and ranged attacks. Unlike Block, which reduces damage when an attack connects, Dodge prevents the attack from landing entirely.
Mechanics
- Dodge does NOT WORK if you have equipped a shield, and does not stack with Block for Deathknight or Blademaster
- Dodge is automatically checked when you're targeted by a physical or ranged attack.
- The higher your Dodge skill, the more likely you are to evade the attack.
- It provides no benefit against magical attacks, but there are feats that do allow you to dodge spells on certain classes.
- You must have at least 30% stamina to dodge. Players will receive a Dodge cooldown after performing a successful Dodge; this is 2 seconds when above 50% stamina and 3 seconds when below 50% stamina.
- Base Chance = Dodge Skill * 0.5
- Stamina Ratio = Current Stamina / Max Stamina
- Formula: (Base Chance * Stamina Ratio)
Training Dodge
Dodge can be raised by standing near aggressive creatures or players and allowing them to attack you.
You do not need to fight back or even equip a weapon
Ideally, train against opponents with lower damage output but frequent attacks.
