Cooking
Cooking is a craft skill used to create food, meals, and consumables, often as part of roleplay, provisioning, or events. While it offers limited mechanical advantages, it plays a meaningful role in immersion, social settings, and some quest or plan requirements.
Overview
- Cooking allows you to create food items using raw ingredients gathered from the world.
- While most cooking products are cosmetic or flavorful in nature, some recipes are required for Cooking Craft Plans.
Mechanics
- Requires the Cook Training feat to access the full potential of cooking recipes.
- Can be trained by crafting any recipe available in the cooking menu.
- Some crafted meals may be used for light healing or small buffs, but are not always competitive with alchemy or magic in combat scenarios.
Mastercraft Cooking
- Cooking supports Master Craftsman, though most items created at this tier are used for flavor and presentation rather than power.
- Useful primarily in roleplay taverns, events, or themed gatherings.
Uses
- Roleplay provisioning (feasts, taverns, holiday meals).
- Creating items for Cooking Craft Plans.
- Providing food-themed decor and immersion for houses, events, or festivals.
Notes
- Food created through cooking has no stacking benefits with magical consumables.
- Cooking is often paired with Farming, Herbalism or Fishing for access to fresh ingredients.
