The Burning Depths is a 5 player dungeon, with a minimum level requirement of 15. Located deep under the Shadowclan Mountain, the Burning Depths is home to some of the most powerful creatures in the realm. Having been sealed off and forgotten by the rest of the world for many, many centuries, the forces within have been at work fortifying and gathering their strength, until now. There are countless treasures and forgotten artifacts waiting to be uncovered.

Once a player uses the dungeon controller and begins a dungeon run, they are "locked out" from entering again for another 5 days.

Requirements to enter:

  • Must be at least level 15
  • Must be in a party
  • Must not have an active Burning Depths lockout
  • Another party must not be inside the dungeon
  • Dungeon must have room for 1 more player(5 max)

Bosses


Warmaster Argug

  • Performs a battle stomp every 8-12 seconds while in combat, stunning nearby enemies
  • Will call in reinforcements every 45-50 seconds while below 75% hit points
  • Dismounts after 50% hit points, allowing his warg to join the battle

High Priest Zulfrak

  • Channels forth a Firestorm every 20-25 seconds while in combat
  • Casts Blood Oath when at 75%/50%/25% hit points, each lasting 25 seconds

Magistrate Cindus

  • Smashes the ground multiple times, causing damage and knocking all nearby enemies away(drains stamina on hit, has a chance to stun)
  • Once below 75% hit points, Lava Spawns will begin to appear from the surrounding lava pool periodically

Dreadwing

  • Targets current combatant with Infernal Breath every 20-25 seconds, dealing high fire damage and causing a burn effect(this spreads to any mobile within 3 tiles of the combatant)
  • Calls down 2 Shadow Drakes to aid him on two separate occasions during the encounter

Igneos, Lord of Shadowclan Mountain

  • Channels forth a Firestorm every 25-30 seconds while in combat
  • Casts a Flame Nova every 12-15 seconds while in combat, drains stamina on hit
  • Submerges in the nearby lava pool after 15 minutes of combat, changing to a stronger form and regenerating some health

Misc Info


  • Luring a boss too far from their fight zone will cause them to reset back to their spawn location with full health. This will also reset most special/timed boss abilities.
  • Getting KO'd near a boss in the Burning Depths will cause your KO'd body to be teleported outside the bosses zone.
  • If your party has less than 5 players present in the dungeon, all enemies will deal additional damage.
  • After killing the last boss(Igneos), you will be told the total time taken on that dungeon run in minutes.

Loot


Each boss has a set list of possible Artifacts and Crafting Plans they can drop(most have 9-10 items on their loot list); from these only 1 item may drop per boss kill. Your first dungeon run will have a 100% drop rate, with each subsequent run lowering the main item drop rate by 2%. This mechanic caps at 50% and is averaged across the group.

Apart from the main item drop, each boss will have a 100% drop rate for 1 medium intensity 4 prop magic jewel, 1-2 rare ingredients(varies by boss) and a 50% chance for either a Solid or Ornate Lockbox.
