Layering Options

When you apply a Vanity Ticket, the new appearance takes the same layer as the original item.

  • A sword will still occupy the weapon layer.
  • A robe will still occupy the outer torso layer.
    • Note: when the outer torso layer is equipped, it hides the inner torso (chest armor) and arms layer, regardless of what ID you change the robe to.

Only the appearance changes. Layering and mechanics remain untouched. This means your item will still fit normally with other worn equipment.

Layering Tips

You can use layering to your advantage when customizing items.

  • By changing equipment into items of the same type but on different layers, you can stack appearances for a more detailed look.
  • Example: Set your waist layer to a skirt, then change your leg armor into a different skirt. The waist skirt will sit neatly over the leg skirt to create a layered effect.

Keep in mind:

  • Items may need to be equipped in a specific order for layers to display correctly.
  • Using Razor’s dress macro can make equipping layered outfits much easier.
