Current Factions
Also known as the City Watch or Mercadian Guard, is a subdivision of the Order dedicated to upholding the peace, enforcing the laws, and defending the city from threats both domestic and foreign, using the authority granted by Queen Annalise I. Peacekeepers may have stationary positions, posted throughout the city or on the wall, in addition to having patrol routes and various other responsibilities. While Peacekeepers have their own internal hierarchy within the Order, they still answer to the authority of the Knight Commander. The Mercadian Peacekeepers
Also known as the Knights of Talathas, or simply as The Order, is a religious military order recognized by Mercadia and is based out of Edana. The Order itself predates the city of Edana by a century, although during these formative years they were a clergy of monks and priests and not a military order. Only after the threatening presence of Undead pressured them did the Order find their militaristic origins.
The Order, despite its name, is not exclusive to those who recognize and worship Talathas. They welcome worshipers of Adalia into their ranks as well, although they typically hold different titles and tend to different responsibilities. All members of The Order are expected to be devout, just, and loyal to both the Clergy and the Crown.
Geography
The areas around Edana include a mountain range to the southeast, with a few mountains scattered to the north as well, the Chevalier's Run River, Lake Edana, a thick forest which the King's Highway cuts through, a small open plain to the south, and the ocean to the north, east, and west.
Neighbouring Cities and Towns
