Aim is a combat skill valuable to any character that wants to increase their accuracy with ranged weapons (be it a bow, throwing weapons or a polearm that hits from distance).

Rangers and Fighters tend to be most adept at using bows.

Usage

Aim is a passive skill that determines the accuracy of ranged attacks.

Synergy

Hit chance can be affected by a few other factors as well, including a character's dexterity or magic items with the Hit Chance Increase property.

Limitations

Aim works with any weapon that hits from distance.

The magical property Use Best Weapon Skill does not apply to Aim.

Bows, crossbows and throwing weapons: aim will determine your chance to hit and the distance from which you can shoot / throw, respecting the specific weapon's range limitation.

Polearms: aim will improve your chance to hit from a 2-tile distance (for the weapons with such property). Common examples are: halberds, pikes, bardiches, etc.

Differences from Ultima Online

In the original Ultima Online, the Aim skill was called "Archery".
