Class Restrictions  •  Changes  •  Tameable Creatures •  Bonding Your Pets

Class Restrictions

Taming is restricted to the following classes:

Changes

Animal Lore

  • Animal Lore is not used for anything on Regisfall.
As of 2025-05-16 it has been effectively disabled and is not required for Taming or Veterinary.

Using Animal Lore for Training

  • Although the Animal Lore skill is mechanically disabled and does not raise, it will still raise Taming if you use it on creatures.
This change was made to reduce grind so that players are not competing over a small pool of animals or forced to spend perk points just to train the skill.

Other Notes

  • Stablemasters do not sell mounts — these must be purchased from other players.
  • Tamers cannot tame Dragons.
  • Animal Taming requirements still apply. Do not trade advanced pets (beyond mounts or pack animals) to classes that lack Taming.
  • Animal commands (such as “all follow me,” “all kill,” etc.) are filtered and will not appear in-game when spoken.
  • Issuing commands to tamed creatures or companions will passively raise your Animal Taming skill.
  • The following list is not exhaustive — standard animals such as wolves, dire wolves, birds, dogs, cats, and bears are tamable for atmosphere or roleplay purposes.

Note: Some creatures, while tameable, cannot be commanded into battle and are intended for companionship or display only.

  • Saddlebags are limited to 1,000 stones.
  • Pack animals can carry up to 2,600 stones.
  • Only ridable animals can support a saddlebag.
  • Saddlebags are a Human-only master-crafted item made by a Tinker.
  • Horse Barding Armor requires a Blacksmith with the proper crafting plan.
  • Pets do not log off with you — they must be stabled or hitched to a post before you log out, or they may go wild.

Bonding Your Pets

  • Creatures will not bond using the traditional stable command.
Use the bond command at a Stablemaster to bond a creature.
Alternatively, feeding a creature begins the bonding process. After one real-world week, it can bond when fed again, provided you have sufficient Taming/Lore skill (mounts require none).
  • Pets become stable tickets that can be traded or sold on vendors.
Bond status and any attached saddlebags transfer with the ticket.
  • If your bonded pet dies, certain classes can assist with revival.
Otherwise, a Stablemaster can revive it for a fee.
