Herding

Warning

There is no point in pursuing this skill. Herding is purely a novelty skill. It does not benefit any class, mastery, feat, or system. No bonuses, training synergies, or meaningful uses exist at this time.

Herding is a skill used to direct animals using a Shepherd's Crook. It allows you to target a creature and guide it to move in a specific direction. However, beyond this extremely limited functionality, Herding has no practical use or benefit.

Overview

  • Allows you to use a Shepherd's Crook to select and direct creatures.
  • Only works on non-hostile, movable animals.
  • Has no combat, crafting, or roleplay utility outside of animal movement.

Mechanics

  • Equip a Shepherd's Crook and double-click the crook.
  • Target an animal, then choose where you want it to move.
  • The creature will obey if you pass a skill check

Availability

  • Usable by Ranger and Druid
  • Trains only through use of the Shepherd's Crook on eligible animals.
  • No recipes, quests, or feats involve Herding.

Notes

  • Not required for taming, control, or summoning.
  • May have limited use in comedic roleplay or farming pens, if you're feeling particularly patient.
