While the majority of items a tailor makes are clothes, their sewn leather armors can be a useful alternative of metal armor for those who cant wear metal.
Gathering Materials
There are a number of materials are used by tailors. For cloth, a tailor can sheer sheep or find cotton. Both cotton and wool can be used first on a spinning wheel, then on a loom to create bolts of cloth. Bolts of cloth are then cut with scissors to create cloth.
Leather is used primarily for crafting leather armors but can also be found in some clothing and miscellaneous items. To obtain leather one must kill an animal or creature, double click a bladed item such as a dagger, and target the corpse. Once skinned the player can loot the hides from the corse. Hides can be heavy, use scissors on the them to turn them into cut leather.
Players can increase their yield from skinning animals by spending Perks in Gathering - Skinning.
Crafting
Once you have obtained the required materials and tool, double click double your sewing kit. You will be prompted with a menu, choose the item you wish to craft. Providing you have the skill you will craft the item, if you are fortunate and skilled enough you can even craft an Exceptional item.
If you are crafting leather armor made from leather other than plain you must select the type from the sewing kit craft gump.
