Mace Fighting

Mace Fighting is a combat skill valuable to any character that wants to increase their accuracy with maces and bludgeoning weapons. Heavy combat classes and clerics are more capable with maces than other classes, but even some mages can learn to use them to some degree.

Usage

Mace Fighting is a passive skill that determines the accuracy of a bludgeoning weapon's attack.

Limitations

Mace Fighting only works with bludgeons, such as a war mace or quarterstaff. It does not affect the accuracy of any other kind of weapon. An exception to this rule is made if a weapon has the magical property Use Best Weapon Skill, in which case the weapon uses the weapon skill (Swordsmanship, Mace Fighting or Fencing) that the character is most proficient in.

Synergy

Hit chance can be affected by a few other factors as well, including a character's dexterity or magic items with the Hit Chance Increase property.
