Auction House
Auction House
The Auction House allows players to buy and sell items with other players through Auctioneers located throughout the world. Auctions remain available while players are offline, allowing items to be traded without both players needing to be present at the same time.
Auction purchases, sale proceeds, returned bids, and unsold items are handled through the Mail System.

Browsing Auctions
Speak to or double-click an Auctioneer to open the Auction House.
The main Auction House page displays active auctions along with their current price, buyout price, seller, and remaining time.
Auctions can be filtered into the following categories:
- All
- Weapons
- Armor
- Clothing
- Jewelry
- Resources
- Misc
The search field can be used to locate a particular item by name.
Listings can also be sorted by:
- Name – Sorts auctions alphabetically
- Price – Sorts auctions by their current bid or starting bid
- Time – Sorts auctions by the amount of time remaining
Select an auction to open its Auction Details page.
Auction Details
The Auction Details page provides additional information about an auction, including:
- Item name and type
- Seller
- Starting bid
- Current bid
- Current high bidder
- Buyout price, if one was provided
- Remaining auction time
Select Inspect Item to temporarily view the actual item and its properties before deciding whether to bid or purchase it.
Bidding
Enter an amount in the Your Bid field and select Bid to place a bid.
The first bid must meet or exceed the auction's starting bid. After a bid has been placed, each new bid must be at least 1 gold higher than the current bid.
Gold for a bid is taken directly from the bidder's backpack.
If another player outbids you, your previous bid is automatically returned through the Mail System.
Players cannot bid on their own auctions.
Buyouts
Sellers may optionally specify a Buyout price when creating an auction.
Selecting Buyout immediately purchases the item for the listed price and ends the auction.
If another player had already placed a bid, their gold is automatically returned through the Mail System.
The purchased item is delivered to the buyer through mail.
Selling Items
Select Sell Item from the Auction House and target an eligible item in your backpack.
When creating an auction, the seller chooses:
- Starting Bid – The minimum amount required to begin bidding
- Buyout – An optional price allowing another player to purchase the item immediately
- Duration – How long the auction remains active
Auction durations are:
- 1 Day
- 3 Days
- 7 Days
A starting bid must be at least 1 gold.
The buyout price is optional. If one is provided, it cannot be lower than the starting bid.
Once the auction is created, the item is removed from the seller's backpack and held safely by the Auction House until the auction is completed, cancelled, or expires.
Players may have up to 50 active auctions at a time.
Auction Fees
Creating an auction costs 5 gold. The posting fee is taken from the seller's backpack when the auction is created.
If an auction successfully sells, the Auction House retains 5% of the final sale price.
The remaining proceeds are automatically delivered to the seller through the Mail System.
Cancelling Auctions
Your active listings can be viewed through the My Auctions page.
An auction may be cancelled as long as no bids have been placed.
Once an auction has received a bid, it can no longer be cancelled by the seller.
Cancelled items are automatically returned to the seller through the Mail System.
Auction Expiration
When an auction reaches the end of its duration:
- If the auction has received a bid, the highest bidder wins the item.
- If the auction has received no bids, the item is returned to the seller.
Winning items and unsold items are delivered through the Mail System.
The seller's proceeds from a successful auction are also delivered by mail after the Auction House fee has been deducted.
Auction Mail
The Auction House uses the Mail System to safely handle items and gold.
Auction-related mail may include:
- Items won through bidding
- Items purchased through a buyout
- Gold earned from successful sales
- Gold returned after being outbid
- Cancelled auction items
- Unsold auction items
Because auction deliveries use the Mail System, players do not need to remain online for an auction to complete.
