The Hunters Assembly
Overview
The Assembly is a cooperative of hunters highly skilled in combat, be it martial or magical, with a mutual interest in personal and collective growth. They are specialists in hunting treasures and ancient relics, taking down fierce monsters and mighty beasts, and tracking and disposing of bounty marks. They live for the thrill of the hunt, no matter what the target is. The guildhouse and guildstone are located at the eastern docks of Edana, the capital of Mercadia.
Values: Cooperation, Vigilance, Resolve and Legacy.
Motto: Treasures, Beasts & Bounties.
Insignia: [※] The dotted X, or Tetrad, representing the guild's four values.
Theme Song: The Ecstasy of Gold

To Join
There are no prerequisites to join the Assembly. All races and all walks of life are welcome among us. While the guildhouse and guildstone are located in Mercadia, residence is not required to join. Members may reside wherever they see fit, since hunters are no strangers to travel.
To join, simply approach the guildstone and write your name on it, next to the names of the other hunters, past and present. New members are encouraged to reach out to meet their guild mates.
[[OOC: Double-click the guildstone to apply. Send Drowking a message to be invited into the guild's discord, where hunts and events are organized and scheduled.]]
Ranks & Medallions
The Assembly is a meritocracy, which means rank promotion is entirely based on a hunter's contribution to the guild - their merit. Ranks determine the access and privileges of members.
Upon joining the guild and upon every promotion thereafter, hunters are awarded medallions which function as a physical representation of their rank within the organization. All medallions look the same: a metal coin with the dotted X in the middle. What changes is the material used to forge the coin - the higher the rank, the higher the quality of the metal.

Guild Bank & Vaults
The Assembly practices a tax of 10%. Members are free to donate more, if they wish, but are not expected to. Once taxed or donated, the gold remains in the guild bank and cannot be withdrawn, not even by the Guildmaster. This can be verified by any member, at any time, in the guild roster.
Once the guild has accumulated a sum of 60.000 gold, it is all withdrawn at once and smelted into bars. The bars are then used to craft magical jewelries, which are made available in the vaults, according to their grade, as follows:
- Level 1 vault: Lesser grade.
- Level 2 vault: Normal grade.
- Level 3 vault: Greater grade.
- Level 4 vault: Glorious grade.
- Level 5 and 6 vaults: used by Guildmaster for management.
Hunts & Spoils
Any member, of any rank, may call for a hunt; be it a treasure hunt, a beast hunt, or a bounty hunt. No member is obliged to partake in them and may decide based on availability and interest. Hunts are announced in the appropriate channels of communication (in the guild's discord), so other hunters can volunteer to cooperate with one another.
Once a hunt is concluded, the spoils are shared among participants. Gold is split evenly. Items are laid down so members may pick what draws their interest. If two or more hunters choose the same item, luck decides who gets to keep it - they roll the dice, highest roll wins the prize. The principle of equity applies and members are expected to act fairly.
Items left behind are sold and their revenue is donated to the guild bank. Resources left behind are donated to our associate master craftsmen.
Gear & Conquest Tokens
The Assembly has associate master craftsmen. Members may procure services from these crafters, be it for equipment, consumables, or otherwise. The associates may request monetary compensation (members receive a discount), a favor, or the resources needed to complete an order.
The only limit to what a member can request lies in what that member can provide. Members with different gathering skills are encouraged to work together to accumulate any given resource necessary to produce an item. Cooperation is, after all, the soul of this guild.
Members of Rank 3 or higher may exchange conquest tokens for rare resources, often required to produce high-end gear.
Hierarchy & Titles
The Assembly has a horizontal structure, which means there is no hierarchy per se. Members of higher ranks are respected for their merits in the guild, not because of their station.
In that sense, titles function more like monikers that evoke a hunter's deeds and accomplishments, rather than symbols of power. Members may choose any title that best represents their background, style, or how they wish to be known in and out of the guild. Alternatively, a member may opt to receive a title organically through their feats in the group.
Guild Meetings & Diplomacy
When reports or decisions must be made by the group, a guild meeting may be called by any member. Attendance is encouraged, but optional, based on a hunter's availability and interest. All attendees have a voice and a vote during these meetings, regardless of rank. This means all members can have a say in guild matters, including diplomatic affairs.
While only certain ranks may conduct diplomacy, all members get to voice their arguments and/or concerns in open debate during guild meetings. Alliances and wars are discussed in these assemblies.
For a hunter who wishes to directly influence the guild's history, attendance is paramount. If a decisive meeting fails to occur due to the absence of members or if there is a tie during voting, the Guildmaster decides the guild's direction based on the best interest of the Assembly.
Demotion & Expulsion
Hunters who have been inactive for a period longer than two months are demoted to a lower rank. They must, then, achieve the same contribution requirements of that rank to be promoted again.
Members who get demoted below Rank 1 are expelled from the guild. They may, however, return at any time, so long as they are in good standing with the group.
Hunters who are deemed too unstable or troublesome may be expelled compulsorily, in which case they may never return. The Assembly has an image and a reputation to uphold, and no individual is allowed to stain the work of the whole.
[[OOC notice: In any circumstance, if a member needs to step away from the game for longer than two months, please let the Guildmaster know to secure your rank.]]
The Hunters' Code
(as devised by legendary hunter Marvelous Chester)
1) Do not mistake cooperation for loyalty. Cooperation builds character and strong bonds. Loyalty rots the brain.
2) The hunt begins before the beast is seen. Be ever ready for action and alert against threats. Sleep with one eye open. Trust no one, not even yourself. Vigilance is survival.
3) Once the hunt is sworn, it is finished. Retreat if you must, but never surrender. Learn, adapt, grow. Endurance is your armor; resolve is your shield.
4) The dead still guide the living. Legacy binds hunters across generations. Honor the fallen by paving the road they started. When your time comes, others will do the same for you.
5) Hone your skills to excellence. You are the hunter, not the prey. You are the arrow, not the deer.
6) Do not let anyone throw tar at the Assembly's image and reputation. Hunters are held to higher standards. Act the part.
7) Shared treasure means shared happiness.
8) Medallions speak. Respect their worth.
Happy hunting!
