Experience Points

Experience Points, or Exp represent a character’s personal achievement and advancement in their class. Experience points are earned by defeating opponents and by overcoming challenges, and can also be gifted by GMs. As characters accumulate experience points they gain character levels. A character's current number of experience points, as well as the amount required to gain a level, can be viewed by using the ]exp command.

Combat

The most common method of gaining experience points is killing enemies. When an enemy is killed, the number of experience points granted will appear in the system dialog.

Crafting

For the craftsman, experience is gained not only by killing foes but also by crafting items. Experience gained from crafting will increase with gained levels but will decrease as crafting skill increases.

Leveling Up

When a character acquires a certain amount of experience, they will level up. Leveling up represents a marked increase in a character's abilities gained throughout their adventures.

When a character levels up they gain a perk point and stat increases. Feats are also gained every 5th level (5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th).
