Mail System
The Mail System allows players to send messages, items, and gold to other characters through mailboxes located throughout the world. Mail can be accessed from any mailbox, and recipients do not need to be online when it is sent.

Postage
Sending mail costs 25 gold, plus an additional 5 gold per attached item. Any gold included with the message is withdrawn separately.
Attachments
Attachments must be taken from the sender's backpack. Certain protected, immovable, quest-related, or otherwise restricted items cannot be mailed. Containers must be empty.
Recipients can use Take All to collect attached items and gold.
Mail Expiration
Ordinary mail expires after 14 days.
Mail containing unclaimed items or gold is automatically returned to the sender. Plain messages without valuables are removed when they expire. Returned and valuable system mail does not expire.
Pull Scroll
Once all attachments and gold have been claimed, a message can be removed from the inbox and preserved as a physical scroll. The scroll retains the sender, subject, and written message.
Auction House Mail
The Auction House uses the Mail System to deliver purchased items, sale proceeds, bid refunds, and other auction returns. Auction mail is sent automatically without charging postage.
