Human

Kamalini

Kamalini, often referred to as The Mother, is seen as a powerful, omnipresent deity by her followers. Her domain, encompassing ambition, drive, sexual desire, and desire for power and possessions, is widely regarded by her faithful as the fundamental forces driving human progress and expansion. The idea that the essence of humanity can be traced back to Kamalini is a belief widely held among her faithful. This notion stems from the understanding that sexual desire, a fundamental aspect of human nature under Kamalini's dominion, leads to procreation and consequently the growth and expansion of human populations and territories. This has led to her being regarded as the literal Mother of Humanity. Her followers consist of a broad spectrum of individuals and groups, drawn together by a common belief in Kamalini's philosophy. Despite being associated with traits that might be considered negative or even sinful, such as greed or lust, Kamalini's Faithful view these attributes as necessary and even beneficial for human growth and progress. They argue that Kamalini encourages these traits not to promote hedonism or selfishness, but rather to inspire her followers to strive for success, overcome challenges, and push the boundaries of human potential. Kamalini is bride to Kinurugi and Sister to Adalia.

Worshipers of Kamalini

  • Warriors, particularly those with a high sense of ambition and self-worth, see themselves as the chosen few, blessed by The Mother. They believe their prowess and superiority are direct blessings from Kamalini. Their ambition is fueled by this belief, driving them to achieve greater victories and acquire more power.
  • Merchants, who form a significant portion of Kamalini's faithful, look to her to fuel their greed and their desire to amass wealth. These individuals, driven by the promise of financial gain, look to Kamalini as a symbol of prosperity and fortune. They believe that their successes in business are proof of Kamalini's f* avor, and their ambitions for wealth are in line with her teachings.
  • For the common folks, their belief in Kamalini often translates into an appreciation for the simple pleasures in life. They see their desires as natural and regard the ability to satisfy them as a blessing from The Mother. Whether it's indulging in delicious food, enjoying good company, or simply finding satisfaction in their day-to-day lives, they view these experiences as expressions of Kamalini's will and benevolence.

Kinurugi

This God is often referred to as The Father, Kinurugi is credited with ruling over the dominion of Death. He is said to take the souls to their rest at the end of the natural life cycle. His role in the cycle of life is critical as he clears out those who have reached the end of their strength and power to make way for the youth and next generations. Those who worship Kinurugi often feel they are following his will when they meet others in battle, and deliver them to their Lord. Kinurgi is seen as paired with Kamalini as their domains compliment and work in tandem. The Mother Drives life, the Father takes life away when it’s time as done. Kinurugian followers abhor things that disrupt this cycle, generally feeling Necromancy to be a disruption of the natural cycle. This distinction is somewhat hypocritical however, as those who worship Kinurugi may be granted power to disrupt the cycle themselves (Necromancy spells and abilities) granted to them directly by The Father. Kinurgi is also brother to Talthalas.
