Cartography

Cartography is used to create maps of your immediate surroundings, up to and including the entire world. It is an essential skill for those who wish to go treasure hunting.

Crafting

Obtain a Mapmaker's Pen and Blank Scrolls from NPC or Players. Click the Mapmaker's Pen and choose which map you would like to create.

Trasure Maps

The Cartography skill one of the two skills required for treasure hunting, it is used to decipher Treasure Maps.

There are six levels of treasure maps

Plainly Drawn - Requires Min -3 Cartography

Expertly Drawn - Requires Min 41 Cartography

Adeptly Drawn - Requires Min 51 Cartography

Cleverly Drawn - Requires Min 61 Cartography

Deviously Drawn - Requires Min 70 Cartography

Ingeniously Drawn - Requires Min 80 Cartography

Upon deciphering a Treasure Map, it will loose its "Tattered" title, at which time the treasure can be located and dug up with a shovel. It should be noted that upon uncovering a Treasure Chest, guardians will come to defend the treasure.

Differences From Ultima Online

On Regisfall, players cannot lure away or hide from the Treasure Guardians. All the Guardians must be dispatched before unlocking the treasure can be attempted.
