Magery is used to cast Magery Spells, there are many types of spells such as harmful spells, buffing spells, healing spells and polymorph spells.

==Obtaining Spells==

There are several ways to obtain spells. Many creatures and monsters in the world drop Magery spells as loot. Players can also buy spells from other players with the [[Inscription]] skill.

Obtained scrolls can either be cast or added to a spell book by single clicking the spell and selecting "Add to..." or by dragging and dropping.

==Casting==

Spells can be cast either by opening your spell book and double clicking a chosen spell, or by double clicking a spell scroll. When spells are cast from scrolls it will consume the scroll.

Casting any spell requires [[Character Stats | Mana]], this higher "circle" of spell the more Mana the spell will require. Depending on your hunger you will naturally regenerate Mana.

==Synergy==

[[Evaluating Intelligence]] is the primary skill used to increase spell damage so it is a must have skill alongside Magery. Additionally, players with 100 [[Inscription]] will receive a 10% bonus to spell damage.

[[Meditation]] is a vital skill for all those who wish to cast spells as it gives both natural [[Character Stats | Mana]] regeneration and active regeneration while meditating.

==Difference from Ultima Online==

In Rise of Empires Magery does not consume reagents.
