Carpentry is a skill that is used to make various items from wood.

==Gathering Materials==

[[Wood]] is your primary source of raw material. All of the weapons a bowyer can create use the different types of wood. Use the [[Lumberjacking]] skill to extract logs from trees. The higher your skill is, the better types of logs you can chop. Spending [[Perks#Gathering | Perks]] in Lumberjacking gathering will increase your yield per chopped tree.

Use a Carpentry tool to cut logs into boards which will decrease the weight of your material. The rate is 1:1, and the higher your carpentry the better types of wood which you can cut into boards.

==Crafting==

There are a variety of Carpentry tools all of which are equal in their ability to craft. Obtain a carpenters tool by purchasing from either NPC Tinkers or Player Tinkers, or gaining experience in Tinkering to craft your own. Click the tool to get a crafting menu, from there you can craft furniture, containers, and even some weapons. Players can stain wood if they have taken the [[Crafting Feats | Carpentry Training]] Feat. Carpentry crafted weapons can be made exceptional if the players skill is high enough.

==Synergy==

Some carpentry items rely on other crafting skills in order to craft them. Some examples are; Forge and Anvil ([[Blacksmithing]]), Training Dummies ([[Tailoring]]), Stone Oven ([[Tinkering]]).
