Mageslayer

Class Summary

It is a strange gift for some to feel the flowing conduits of the ether that let one master the magical arts, and far rarer for one when this ability turns it back against itself. The Mageslayer is not a magic user himself, though he understands the arcane. It is with this understanding that he is capable of clouding the pathways of the ether and disrupting the flow of magic. But even with their aptitude for understanding the flow of magic, they find the sword or the bow to be more practical means of dispatching a foe.

Feats

Hunter Stalks His Prey

[Passive] Prerequisites: Tracking skill 75+

Your keen eye for tracking lends you the ability to pick out flaws in your quarry's defenses, reducing the effective resistances of the target (to your attacks) while you are tracking them.

Orientation

[Passive] Prerequisites: Tracking skill 75+

Explorers and guides of the realm, this class has learned how to discern the lay of the land. This feat grants the ability to learn Cartography and the use of maps. You will receive 30 skill points in Cartography and a map-kit.

Inscription

[Passive] Prerequisites: Intelligence 50+

During your years of research, you have learned to master the pen and quill. Because of this optness, you can use your skills to work on other aspects. This Feat grants the ability to learn Inscription. You will receive 30 skill points in Inscription and a Scribe's Kit.

Use Magical Device

[Passive] Prerequisites: Level 10+

You have learned to use the enchanted items that spellcasters use. The type of item you can use depends on your skill of the feat (which is determined by character level). Some of these items include Wands, Staves, Scrolls, etc.

Acrobatic Combat (usage: ]feint, ]roll)

[Active] Prerequisites: Dexterity of 60+

You have honed your reflexes to a state beyond normal. You're able to dodge ranged attacks, even magical ones. As well as learning to trick your enemies into attempting to block a faked attack, devastating their defenses.

Wyrd Sense (usage: ]sense)

[Active] Prerequisites: None

Like ripples in a pond, the force of mana upon the ether leaves ripples in it's wake. With this feat, the Mageslayer is capable of detecting the flow of mana into the ether, and he can also detect the remaining mana reserves of any caster.

Banishment (usage: ]banish)

[Active] Prerequisites: Wyrd Sense feat

Through a concentrated effort to channel existing flows of the ether back on themselves, the Mageslayer is capable of creating a powerfully disruptive force, focused on any magical incarnation. The process leaves them drained and spent of their own mana, but will have a similar effect on the target.

Mind Blast (usage: ]mindblast)

[Active] Prerequisites: Wyrd Sense feat

Sensing the hollow vacuum left within a mage when their mana is expelled, the Mageslayer creates a powerfully destructive surge within them. This causes damage based on their amount of mana missing.

Disrupting Presence (usage: ]disrupt)

[Active] Prerequisites: None

Like a whirlpool in a vast ocean, the Mageslayer's presence can disrupt the flow of ether around him. This feat will increase Magery skill required to cast spells, and also increase their cast times for any unfortunate enough to fall victim.
