When treasure hunting is it cartography that makes it so you don't have to be right on the spot to dig up the treasure or is it mining?

If T-Mapping is similar to UO rule set, the requirement is Mining. Cartography is required to read the map and Mining will dig it up within 10 Tiles at GM Mining. So, 1 Tile per 10 Mining.

Great, thank you. Thinking about going treasure hunting but haven't done it in like 15 years. I was getting both answers online when I checked.
