Prophecy

Post by Grull » Fri Aug 05, 2022 10:14 am

Grull stood at the bloodied altar. Ancient and covered in the gore of countless beings, the alter of Grummsh was his focus. Grull muttered quietly to himself chanting praise to Gruumsh and the glory of the tribe of Burz'kal. This was his daily routine.

A wave of nausea suddenly swept over the Warshaman. Something was wrong. Grull opened his eyes and beheld before him catastrophe. The mountain inhabited by the shadow clan, the apostates of the orcs, had exploded in a foul and noxious gas that was sweeping the lands. Out of the caves poured the denizens of the depths. Trolls, Ogres, and misshapen Uruk took to the world and slaughtered without remorse. They killed with an ancient rage that had been unheard of since the rebuilding of Burz'kal.

Grull could see all this. He saw Arandor and its forests burning. He saw Karagard overwhelmed and entombed under its own mountain. He heard the cites of men screaming and then go silent...
He saw Burz'kal erupt. It's caldera erasing all life in the south.

What had caused this?

A booming voice filled Grull's ears. He knew it well. The All-Goth, Grummsh spoke.
"The Apostates stir in their hole. They will move against the world. Watch them. Cull them."

Grull fell to his knees and slowly stirred back into reality. Grull had no love for the other races of the world. He could care less if they fell, as long as Burz'kal remained, it is all that mattered. But Grull knew that the Shadow Clan and their heathen gods would not stop with the weak races. Eventually, they would turn their evil to the south, bringing the greatest destruction of Uruk the world had known. This could not be allowed.

The Warshaman knew the next move. The tribe had to prepare and keep an eye on the deeper evils of the Shadow Clan. War was coming. But was the rest of the world ready?
