Experience Points
Experience Points, or Exp represent a character’s personal achievement and advancement in their class. Experience points are earned by defeating opponents and by overcoming challenges, and can also be gifted by GMs. As characters accumulate experience points they gain character levels. A character's current number of experience points, as well as the amount required to gain a level, can be viewed by using the ]exp command.
Gaining Experience Points
Combat
Experience points can be gained a number of ways. The most common method of gaining experience points is killing enemies. When an enemy is killed, the number of experience points granted will appear in the system dialog.
Crafting
For Merchants, experience is gained not only by killing foes but also by crafting items. Experience gained from crafting will increase with gained levels but will decrease as crafting skill increases.
Donations
Players can choose to be awarded experience points for supporting Rise of Empires through donations. Please see the donations page for more for more information.
