Holy Scriptures

Myl os Mia (The song of the Sky) – Not a written scripture but rather a song that is sang by followers of the faith. The entirety of the song would take five days to sing in length, and as such only certain sections are sang at a time. Most notable of these sections is Saji Ti Mia Col (Take Me Sky Knights). This stanza is sang as a prayer before battle. Saji ti mia col. (Take me Sky Knights) Thys Ai shor sai maesi (for I wish to serve) Ai shor thys jhori (I wish for life) Ais paer ter tysti (If Death must come) Myr air shi tia aelaestia (Should it be my enemy) Ai vae thysolaelaer (I pray forgiveness) Ail si aer os Fanyarnir (In the eyes of the Sky Lord) myr air shi tia shyraes(Should it be my brother) Ai vae thys mael (I pray for strength) Ail si aer os Fanyarnir (In the eyes of the Sky Lord) Myr paer tysti sai ti (Should death come to me) Ai vae Ai eis shysia (I pray I am worthy) Ail si aer os Fanyarnir (In the eyes of the Sky Lord) Methods of Praise The most common way the Elves worship and praise Fanyarnir is through song and dance. Even in battle they praise him, the most common of weapons styles of the Elves is known as the Blade Dances. The Elves attack and defend in smooth motions with deliberate steps and strikes, this lends to the appearance of the battling Elf dancing. Just as with dancing many elves will sing songs as they fight. One of the most notable battles in Elven history was against the Dwarves in the earliest years of the world. The Elves numbered a thousand warriors, however the Dwarves at their gates outnumbered them five to one. It is said that at this time, a great eagle was seen in the sky, and many large explosions rocked the Dwarven lines. In unison every Elven warrior, and those not in the combat as well rose up in one voice singing the Myl os Mia. ________________________________________
